Posted December 12, 2006 Four Mobile Eye Vans: Rotary District 3030 under the Direction of District Avoidable Blindness Chair, Dr. Umesh Rewanwar is seeking to submit a matching grant for four Rotary Mobile Eye Vans. He is looking for partners willing to commit both club dollars as well as District DDF in order to submit a Rotary Foundation Matching Grant. They are in need of approximately $30,000 (US$). If they cannot find partners to fund the full amount they are willing to fund two vans rather than four. Community Eye Care and Research Center: The "Community Eye Care and Research Center" was established in August 2000 as an eye care service organization in Rangpur, a district in northern Bangladesh. Their Current Objective: To partner with Rotary clubs and districts to fund and submit a Rotary Foundation Matching Grant to provide free cataract surgeries for those in need.
